About the Umgeni Water Postgraduate Bursary
The Umgeni Water Postgraduate Bursary program hopes to equip individuals with a strong academic background and a passion for water-related studies.
This bursary provides financial assistance to cover tuition fees, study materials, and living expenses, allowing students to focus on their academic pursuits without financial constraints.
Umgeni Water Postgraduate Bursary Application Form
There is currently no dedicated application form for the Umgeni Water Postgraduate Bursary.
Interested candidates must submit their applications electronically via email to [email protected] with the subject line “Umgeni Water Bursary Application.”
Remember to include the following documents in your email:
- Certified copy of your South African ID document.
- Full academic record (certified copy).
- Degree certificate (certified copy).
- Motivational letter outlining your academic goals, research interests, and reasons for applying for the bursary.
- Proof of registration at a recognized university for your chosen Master’s or PhD program.
The Umgeni Water Postgraduate Bursary Requirements
In order for an applicant to be considered eligible for the Umgeni Water Postgraduate Bursary, you must meet all of the following qualification requirements:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Possess a four-year degree in Science, Engineering, or Computer Science with good academic standing.
- Be enrolled in or intend to enroll in a Master’s or PhD program relevant to Umgeni Water’s research priorities, such as:
- 21st-century water infrastructure system and management.
- Advanced materials.
- Artificial Intelligence.
- Big Data Analytics.
- Block-chain.
- Drones and autonomous vehicles.
- Internet of Things (IoT).
- New Computing technologies.
- Real-time, interoperable water data.
- Remote Sensing (Satellite Imagery).
- Demonstrate financial need and a commitment to community service.
The Umgeni Water Postgraduate Bursary Closing Date
Please note that the closing date for the Umgeni Water Postgraduate bursary normally falls in June. For the 2023/ 2024 academic year, the closing date fell on 9 June 2023.
