Adapt IT Bursary Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Adapt IT Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a South African citizen.
  2. Be classified as Black according to the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice.
  3. Have completed your Matric (National Senior Certificate).
  4. Have achieved and maintained a minimum overall average of 60%.
  5. Be enrolled or intend to enroll full-time in one of the eligible fields mentioned above at a recognized university in 2025 (universities to be confirmed).
  6. Be entering your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or Honours year of study.
  7. Be registered at one of the following universities:
    • Central Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)
    • Nelson Mandela University (NMU)
    • University of Johannesburg (UJ)
    • University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)  
    • University of Limpopo (UL)

Failure to meet any of these criteria will result in your application being disqualified.

Adapt IT Bursary Application Requirements

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can proceed with the application process by following these steps:

  1. Register Online: Create a profile on the BSP Fundi website.
  2. Download Application Form: Download and complete the Adapt IT Bursary application form.
  3. Apply Through Profile: After creating your profile, log in and submit your application for the Adapt IT Bursary program.
  4. Supporting Documentation: Compile and submit clear copies of the following documents:
    • Completed Application Form
    • Certified Copy of Your ID Document (South African Identity Document)
    • Certified Copy of Your Matric Certificate
    • Full Academic Record (if currently enrolled)
    • Proof of Registration/Acceptance Letter from Your University
    • Tuition Fee Statement (if available)
    • Proof of Income for Parents/Guardians (latest payslips, affidavit if unemployed, SASSA grant statement if applicable)
