The Agricultural Business Chamber of South Africa, known as Agbiz, represents the country’s agribusinesses, and its centenary bursary funds the postgraduate research the sector needs. At R47 500 for a year of master’s or doctoral study in agribusiness management, it is one of the few awards aimed squarely at the business side of agriculture.

Agbiz Bursary eligibility requirements

- At least 60% in all major subjects. Preference goes to previously disadvantaged applicants, women and people with disabilities.

- Attach your ID, academic records, proof of registration, a recommendation letter from your supervisor, a motivation letter and a declaration of any other funding you receive.
- Email everything to policy@agbiz.co.za with “Agbiz Centenary Bursary 2027” in the subject line, before the closing date.
