Eligibility Requirements for the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Bursary

HPE welcomes applications from two main groups of students. 

You must meet all the criteria listed under the group that applies to your current status. 

The programme is solely for South African citizens.

If you are currently in school (Grade 12):

  1. You must be currently in Grade 12 or have successfully completed Grade 12.
  2. You must be a South African citizen.
  3. You must have applied to a South African university or institution.
  4. You must have received acceptance or provisional acceptance for the qualification you intend to study in 2026.

If you are a post-matric student:

  1. You must have successfully completed Grade 12.
  2. You must be accepted or currently registered at a South African university or institution.
  3. You must be a South African citizen.
  4. You must currently be unemployed.

Application Process for the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Bursary

The application for the HPE Bursary is managed through an external partner, Career Wise. 

You need to follow the steps exactly as outlined to ensure your application is registered correctly and considered for the 2026 programme.

  1. Visit the official Career Wise online application platform.
  2. Register a new profile if you are a first time user or log in to your existing account.
  3. Use the specific promotional code HPE2026 when registering your profile. This is essential for linking your application to the correct bursary programme.
  4. Upload all the required supporting documents to your online profile.
  5. Required documents include your updated Curriculum Vitae and a certified copy of your South African ID.
  6. If you have completed Grade 12, upload your final Grade 12 results.
  7. If you are currently in Grade 12, upload your mid-year or most recent results.
  8. Upload proof of provisional acceptance to the university or institution for 2026.
  9. If already at university, upload your official Acceptance Letter and your full Academic Record.
  10. Complete all sections of the application form and submit it before the deadline.
