Eligibility: Open to South African citizens residing in the North West Province, pursuing or intending to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Performing or Visual Arts at an accredited South African institution. Not currently receiving NSFAS funding or employed by MACSF or the government.

  3. Required Documents:
    • Certified copy of your ID document
    • Proof of residence in North West Province
    • Latest academic transcripts and acceptance letter (if applicable)
    • Proof of income for yourself, parent(s)/guardian(s) (3 months payslips)

    • Optional: Portfolio showcasing your artistic talent (for Visual Arts applicants)

To be eligible for the bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. South African Citizenship: You must be a South African citizen and reside within the North West Province.
  2. Field of Study: Your studies must be focused on Performing or Visual Arts, leading to an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification.
  3. Academic Merit: Demonstrated academic potential and good academic standing are essential.
  4. Financial Need: Financial need plays a crucial role in the selection process. Provide clear evidence of your financial limitations.
  5. Institutional Accreditation: You must be studying or accepted to study at an accredited South African learning institution.
  6. Funding Restrictions: You cannot be a current recipient of NSFAS funding or employed by MACSF or the government.
