Motus Holdings is South Africa’s largest automotive group, spanning vehicle imports, dealerships, car rental, financial services and fleet management. Motus Mobility Solutions, its technology and fleet-services division, funds university students in data, computing, engineering and actuarial fields to build its pipeline of analysts and engineers.

About the Motus Mobility Solutions Bursary

The bursary covers tuition fees, residence fees in full or in part, and textbooks. Bursars are offered vacation work at Motus and are considered for its graduate programme when they qualify. Funded degrees are:

BSc Actuarial Science
BSc Computer Science, and BSc Computer Science and Informatics
BSc Software Engineering
BEng Electrical Engineering and BEng Industrial Engineering
BSc Mathematical Sciences
BCom or BSc Statistics and Data Science

Motus Bursary eligibility requirements

South African citizen.
Studying full-time at an accredited South African university for one of the degrees above.
Completed first year, and entering second, third or fourth year in 2027.
An overall average of at least 70%.

How to apply for the Motus Bursary

Request the application form by emailing khanyisilem@motus.co.za or calling 011 663 7000.
Complete the form and attach: a certified copy of your ID; your full university academic record with your latest results, on the university’s letterhead; proof of residence; and a motivation letter explaining your goals and why you should be funded.
Email the application with the subject line “Motus Bursary Application 2027” before 30 September 2026.
Shortlisted students are interviewed in October and November before awards are confirmed.

The bursary is for students already at university who are entering second, third or fourth year in 2027. We could not find this date on the funder’s own website on 22 September 2026.
