Stefanutti Stocks holds a Grade 9 rating from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), the highest grade, which allows it to tender for projects of unlimited size. The group is a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor and is certified to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 standards for quality, environment, safety and information security.
Many construction disciplines
Stefanutti Stocks works in building, including cold rooms and complete data centre construction; civils, including structural rehabilitation; renewable energy balance of plant; concrete repair; marine and geotechnical work; roads and earthworks; and electrical, instrumentation and mechanical projects. Stefanutti Stocks offers turnkey design and build, co-development and early contractor engagement.
The group operates in every South African province and has established operations in Botswana, Eswatini, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Recent recognition
In 2025 the Kusile Civil Works Joint Venture, a 50/50 partnership between Stefanutti Stocks and WBHO, received Eskom’s Kusile Contractor of the Year Award. Stefanutti Stocks’ Coastal Region pipeline protection team at Sasol’s Umlazi Canal Project won a Sasol safety recognition award, and Stefanutti Stocks Eswatini won a biodiversity offset award at the Temvelo Environmental Awards for the fourth year running.
The bursary
Stefanutti Stocks funds civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, construction management and quantity surveying students, preferring those who have completed first year with strong results in science and structural analysis. Funding covers tuition, accommodation, textbooks and prescribed materials, with mentorship and vacation work on project sites. Bursars must work for Stefanutti Stocks for as long as they were funded, and many then join the graduate internship programme or permanent site roles.
