Altron Bill Venter Academy Bursary 2027

The Bill Venter Academy is Altron’s skills development arm, named after the founder of the technology group. Its bursary funds students in the engineering, computing and finance disciplines Altron recruits into, from mechatronics and electronic engineering through to informatics and finance.

  • Fields: mechatronics (electronic and mechanical engineering), electronic engineering, industrial engineering, computer engineering, computer science, informatics and finance.
  • A full bursary covering tuition and related study costs.
  • Studied at recognised South African tertiary institutions.

Altron Bursary eligibility requirements

  • South African citizen who has completed Matric.
  • Enrolled in one of the listed fields at a recognised South African tertiary institution.
  • An excellent academic record.
  • Preference for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

How to apply for the Altron Bursary

  1. Email bursaries@altron.co.za to confirm that a round is open and request the application form.
  2. Attach a certified ID and certified academic transcripts, plus proof of registration or acceptance.
  3. Email the application with “Altron Bill Venter Academy Bursary Application” and your full name in the subject line, before the closing date.

Closing date

Past rounds closed between August and September. No 2027 date has been announced.
