ArcelorMittal South Africa is the country’s largest steel producer, with plants at Vanderbijlpark and Newcastle. Its bursary is narrow and generous: computer and electronic engineering only, at six named universities, with everything covered from fees to a laptop.

About the ArcelorMittal Bursary

• Fields: four-year degrees in computer engineering and electronic engineering.
• Universities: North-West University, Wits, the University of Pretoria, UKZN, the University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University.
• Covers registration and tuition fees, books, an accommodation allowance, a food allowance and a once-off laptop allowance.

ArcelorMittal Bursary eligibility requirements

• South African citizen, in Matric or with Matric.
• Studying, or accepted, full-time for a four-year engineering degree at one of the listed universities.
• Matric applicants must pass English, Mathematics and Physical Science.
• University students must have passed all registered courses.

How to apply for the ArcelorMittal Bursary

1. Open the bursary listing on the ArcelorMittal recruitment portal at arcelormittalsa.ci.hr when the round opens.
2. Upload an updated CV, your most recent Matric results if you are in Matric, or your most recent academic record if you are at university.
3. Submit before the closing date. Only shortlisted applicants are contacted.
