The Bank of Namibia (BoN) is the central bank of the Republic of Namibia.

Headquartered in Windhoek, BoN holds the sole authority to issue the Namibian dollar, as mandated by the Namibian Parliament.

  1. Undergraduate degrees:

    • Economics (Econometrics / Statistics / Mathematics)
    • Education (Mathematics / Science)
    • Finance / Quantitative Finance / FinTech
    • Industrial Engineering
  2. Postgraduate degrees:
    • Master’s in Economics (e.g., macro/microeconomics, modeling)
    • Master’s in Data Science / Data Engineering
    • Master’s in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Robotics
    • Master’s in Science or Law (focused on Oil & Gas / Renewable Energy)

  • Return-flight ticket (if studying outside Namibia)

Eligibility Criteria

You must meet all of the following:

  • Namibian citizenship
  • Acceptance or provisional acceptance into a recognized Namibian or SADC tertiary institution in a qualifying field
  • Beginning first-year undergraduate or postgraduate studies in 2026
  • Strong academic performance (Merit-based eligibility)

  3. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for means testing and interviews.

Prepare clear, certified copies of:

  1. Proof of Namibian citizenship (e.g., ID)
  2. Provisional acceptance letter from a recognized institution
  3. Academic results: Grade 12/AS-Level for undergraduates; degree transcripts for postgraduates
  4. Any other documentation as requested (e.g., financial proof during means test)
