Construction and building management careers in South Africa usually start with a BSc in Construction Studies or Construction Management, followed by an honours degree, at universities such as UCT, UP, Wits, UFS, NMU and UKZN. Construction managers and project managers register with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP), first as candidates and then as professionals after experience and an assessment.
