About the Masakh’iSizwe Bursary

The Masakh’iSizwe Bursary Programme, whose name translates from isiXhosa to “Let’s Build the Nation,” was established in 2006. The programme aims to address two major objectives:

The bursary prioritizes providing financial support to deserving students from the Western Cape Province.

This enables them to pursue full-time studies at accredited higher education institutions within the province.

By specifically targeting the transport, engineering, and built environment sectors, the Masakh’iSizwe Bursary Programme tackles a critical skills gap in South Africa.
