Openserve is Telkom’s wholesale network business and runs South Africa’s largest fixed broadband and fibre network. Its bursary, part of a Centre of Excellence programme, funds strong second and third-year ICT students who intend to go on to master’s or doctoral research.
About the Openserve Bursary
- Fields: computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering (light current) and information technology.
- Full undergraduate bursary support.
- Aimed at students who plan to continue to postgraduate research.
Openserve Bursary eligibility requirements
- South African citizen with Matric.
- In second or third year of a listed undergraduate degree at an accredited South African university.
- At least 70% for technology or engineering subjects and a 65% overall average in the previous year.
- Intending to go on to a master’s or PhD.
How to apply for the Openserve Bursary
- Check the careers pages on openserve.co.za and Telkom’s own website for a current listing.
- Register an account on Telkom’s recruitment site and open the bursary listing.
- Upload a certified ID, certified Matric certificate and full academic transcripts on the institution’s letterhead, and submit before the closing date.
