What the Hillary bursary covers
Hillary Construction offers bursaries to deserving National Diploma and degree students in civil engineering, quantity surveying and surveying. The bursary covers far more than fees: annual registration, tuition and examination fees, a monthly allowance for accommodation, food and travel, and study-related equipment on request.
A gap year before sponsorship
Hillary Construction adds an important first step. Successful candidates first receive a one-year learnership in road construction, a gap year during which Hillary considers sponsoring the following year of study. Applicants should therefore plan for a year of site work before funded study begins.

Hillary’s work in roads and earthworks also means bursars in surveying and quantity surveying gain experience on the measurement and cost side of real construction projects, not only the engineering side.
