Vestas is a Danish company and one of the world’s largest makers of wind turbines. Its South African scholarship, run by Tshikululu Social Investments, funds young Black women to study the engineering skills behind wind energy.
About the VESTAS Scholarship

VESTAS Scholarship eligibility requirements
- Black female South African from a disadvantaged background.
- In Matric or with Matric, with at least a 60% overall average.
- Enrolled at, or applying to, one of the three institutions.
- Not receiving another bursary or NSFAS funding.
How to apply for the VESTAS Scholarship
- Email the administrators to confirm a round is open. There is no application form.
- Prepare a certified ID, Matric results or certificate, a provisional acceptance letter and your current academic record.
- Email them to vestas@tshikululu.org.za with the scholarship name and year in the subject line.
Closing date
24 November in the last published round (2024, for 2025 studies). No 2027 date has been announced.
