AFHCO runs an early-year cycle.
AFHCO owns and manages residential and commercial buildings in the Johannesburg inner city, and its bursary is a benefit for the people who live in them. One award of R50 000 goes to an AFHCO resident or the dependant of a tenant, paid straight to the college or university, for a course in any field.
About the AFHCO Bursary
- Value: R50 000, paid directly to the educational institution rather than to the student.
- Fields: any field, provided the course runs for at least 12 months and is SAQA-aligned at an accredited tertiary institution.
- Preference goes to undergraduate students.
AFHCO Bursary eligibility requirements
- An AFHCO resident, or the dependant of an AFHCO tenant.
- Applying as an individual, not on behalf of an organisation.
- Accepted, or studying, at an accredited tertiary institution on a course of at least 12 months.
- A sound academic record and a clear motivation.
How to apply for the AFHCO Bursary
- Download the application form from the bursary opportunity page at afhco.co.za when applications open.
- Attach your ID, academic transcripts, National Senior Certificate results, a motivation letter and a testimonial.
- Email everything to humanresources@afhco.co.za before the closing date. Winners are announced about six weeks later.

20 March 2026 for the 2026 round. Expect March 2027 for 2027.
