The Clicks Foundation is the social investment arm of Clicks Holdings Limited, a leading South African retailer specialising in healthcare, lifestyle, beauty, and music products.

About the Programme

The Clicks Foundation Bursary is run by the Clicks Group through the Clicks Foundation. 

It is a merit-based bursary program aimed at addressing scarce and critical skills in the retail and pharmaceutical healthcare sectors.

The bursary is non-obligatory (i.e., recipients are not typically required to do work-back) and supports students financially through undergraduate studies in specified fields.

Fields of Study Funded

Eligible fields (at least in recent cycles) include:

  • Pharmacy (2nd, 3rd, or 4th year)
  • Commercial / Retail business fields: Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science / IT, Retail Business Management

Benefits for Recipients

The bursary typically covers:

  • Registration fees
  • Tuition fees
  • Prescribed textbooks
  • Study assistance/aids where required

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following (or equivalent in recent bursary calls):

  1. Be a South African citizen
  2. Be between 19 and 35 years old
  3. Be in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year if studying Pharmacy; for other commercial / STEM / retail fields, often 2nd or 3rd year
  4. Have completed Matric
  5. Be registered or have provisional acceptance at a recognised South African tertiary institution
  6. Must not be receiving another bursary or have obligations under another bursary that conflict.
  7. Preference is often given to candidates from designated groups or persons with disabilities.

How to Apply

  • Application is done online via the Clicks Group / Careers portal.
  • Must complete the Clicks bursary application form and upload required supporting documents (ID, Matric certificate, latest academic transcript, proof of registration/acceptance, proof of disability if applicable).

Closing Date

The bursary application period opens annually on 30 November. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
