VBKOM is a Centurion-based mining consultancy started by mining engineers, providing mine planning, valuation and training. Its bursary backs senior students in the core mining disciplines, with vacation work and mentoring alongside the funding.
About the VBKOM Bursary
- Fields: geology, industrial engineering, metallurgy and mining engineering.
- Covers registration fees, tuition fees and accommodation.
- Possible vacation work, and renewal each year on submission of semester marks.
VBKOM Bursary eligibility requirements
- South African citizen with Matric.
- In second year of study or higher in a listed field.
- At least a 60% overall average.
- Hardworking and inquisitive.
