VKB is an agricultural group based in Reitz in the eastern Free State, with businesses in grain handling, retail, finance and milling. Its bursary funds commerce, risk and built-environment students, combining full study support with vacation work and a route into the group.

About the VKB Group Bursary

• 2027 fields include BCom Accountancy and Management Accountancy, BCom Economic Sciences, BCom Risk Management, BSc Quantitative Risk Management and BSc Quantity Surveying.
• Full study support for selected students.
• Vacation work at a VKB regional head office during university holidays.

VKB Group Bursary eligibility requirements

• South African citizen with Matric.
• Currently in first year, or past first year, at an accredited South African institution.
• At least a 60% average in major subjects.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans, and willing to relocate after studies for employment or work-back.

How to apply for the VKB Group Bursary

1. Open VKB’s recruitment portal at vkb.simplify.hr in Google Chrome and choose the bursary listing for your field.
2. Upload a certified ID, CV, passport photo, Matric certificate and full academic record, all in PDF.
3. Answer all questions and submit before 30 September 2026.

30 September 2026 for the 2027 academic year.
