Applications for the 2027 academic year are open on the Accenture careers portal.

Accenture, the global professional services firm, has funded South African students through its Education Trust since the 1970s. The scholarship targets the technology degrees Accenture recruits from, pays for everything from tuition to residence and meals, and pairs each scholar with an Accenture mentor. It is one of the few corporate scholarships aimed at the missing middle rather than the lowest-income households.

About the Accenture Scholarship

  • Fields: computer engineering and computer science (BSc or BCom), data engineering and analytics, electronic and electrical engineering, industrial engineering, information systems and information technology, mechanical engineering with mechatronics, microelectronic engineering, and statistics and data science.
  • Universities: Rhodes, Stellenbosch, UCT, UJ, UP, Wits, UKZN and UWC.
  • Covers registration, tuition and examination fees, a prescribed book allowance, a laptop allowance, residence accommodation and meals.
  • Includes ongoing mentorship from Accenture staff and consideration for the firm’s graduate programme.

Accenture Scholarship eligibility requirements

  • South African citizen with a Matric certificate.
  • In the second, third, fourth or honours year of a listed degree at a listed university, studying full-time.
  • At least a 65% overall average.
  • Undergraduates: household income between R350 000 and R1 million a year. Postgraduates previously on NSFAS: household income under R300 000.

How to apply for the Accenture Scholarship

  1. Go to accenture.com/za-en/careers, search for “Education Trust Scholarship” and create a candidate account.
  2. Complete the personal information, work experience, application questions and voluntary disclosure sections.
  3. Upload your ID, Matric certificate, full academic record including 2026 mid-year results, a CV, proof of parental income if the household earns below R600 000 and tax returns if it earns below R1 million.
  4. Submit immediately; the call closes without notice once enough applications are in.
