Omnia Holdings is a JSE-listed group that manufactures fertilisers, mining explosives and industrial chemicals. Through the Omnia Future Fund it funds STEM students at South African universities, and it runs a separate bursary for the children of its employees.

About the Omnia Bursary

The Omnia STEM Tertiary Bursary funds full-time degree study at a South African university in fields relevant to Omnia’s businesses, including:

Mechanical engineering (BEng).
Computer engineering and software development (BEng or BSc).
Chemical engineering and chemistry (BSc).
Agricultural science (BSc).

Diplomas and higher certificates are not funded. The bursary covers tuition and related study costs, with vacation work at Omnia’s operations.

Omnia Bursary eligibility requirements

South African citizen.
Enrolled, or accepted, for full-time study in a qualifying STEM degree in 2027.
An average of at least 65% in your previous studies, including pure Mathematics and Physical Science if you are a matriculant.
Computer literate, with strong analytical and communication skills.

How to apply for the Omnia Bursary

Register on the Omnia Future Fund portal at omniafuturefund.auraams.app.
Select the Omnia STEM Tertiary Bursary for 2027 and complete the online form.
Upload certified copies of your ID, your Matric results or academic record, proof of registration or acceptance, and proof of household income.
Submit before the closing date. Shortlisted applicants are interviewed in February.

Mid-January each year. Expect on or about 15 January 2027 for the 2027 academic year.
