Eligibility Criteria

1. Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
2. Grade 12 learners or current university students are eligible.
3. Minimum Level 6 (about a C symbol) in Mathematics and Science for engineering, science, and geology fields. (Accounting-specific applicants must have Level 6 in Math.)
4. Must be accepted or enrolled at a recognised South African tertiary institution.

How to Apply

1. Download the Bursary Application Form from the BHP Billiton website or Career Wise.
2. Complete it and include the following certified documents:
   • South African ID or permanent residency document
   • Passport-sized photograph
   • Grade 11 final results (for matric learners) or Matric certificate (for matriculated applicants)
   • Latest university results and proof of enrollment (for university students)
   • Motivation letter and supporting documents as outlined in the form.
