Fields of Study

Project managers in South Africa usually hold a degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, business administration or project management, offered at universities, universities of technology and private colleges.

Construction project managers can register with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).

International certifications such as PMP or CAPM from the Project Management Institute are optional extras that show experience.
