The Mhlathuze Water Bursary Requirements

To be eligible for the Mhlathuze Water Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
  2. Be enrolled in or applying for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a water-related field, such as:
    • Civil Engineering
    • Water & Environmental Engineering
    • Hydrology
    • Water Resource Management
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Environmental Science
    • Information Technology related to the water sector
  3. Be in your first or second year of study (for undergraduate applicants) or in your first year of study (for postgraduate applicants).
  4. Demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 70%.
  5. Have a strong financial need.
