In order for you to be eligible for the Keaton Energy Mining Bursaries, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a South African citizen.
  2. Be under or turning 21 during your first year of study and under or turning 23 during your second year of study.
  3. Be a full-time student at an accredited South African university or Institute of Technology, studying a bachelor’s degree (University) or National Diploma/National Technical Diploma/B Tech qualification (Institute of Technology) in one of the following fields:
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current & Light Current)
    • Extraction Metallurgy
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Mine Survey
    • Mining Engineering
    • Geology (for undergraduate and honors degrees)
  4. Be medically fit, as proven by a medical certificate.
