To be eligible for the LPFF bursary, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

Undergraduate applicants:

  1. Be a South African citizen.
  2. Be enrolled in a recognized LLB program at a South African university.
  3. Have successfully completed the first two years of your LLB program.
  4. Demonstrate financial need.
  5. Maintain a good academic record.

Postgraduate applicants:

  1. Be a South African citizen.
  2. Be a qualified legal practitioner or a candidate attorney with at least one year of experience.
  3. Be registered with the Legal Practice Council (LPC).
  4. Be accepted for a recognized postgraduate law program at a South African university.
  5. Demonstrate financial need.

Additional requirements:

  1. A strong commitment to the legal profession and ethics is highly valued.
  2. Preference may be given to applicants from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
