About AJ Foundation

The AJ Foundation is a non‑profit organisation based in the Cape Metropolitan area. 

Founded in 2016 by soccer player Cole Alexander and business mentor Jessie Julius, it aims to uplift youth from disadvantaged backgrounds via educational support.

Fields of Study Funded

The bursary is open to students across all fields of study at registered South African tertiary institutions. 

Applicants from STEM, humanities, commerce, and vocational programmes may apply. There is no restriction by discipline.

Benefits for Recipients

Successful applicants receive financial support with tuition fees, living allowance, and accommodation costs, depending on assessed need. 

The bursary aims to relieve students from financial burdens, allowing them to focus on academic success.

Eligibility Criteria 

You must meet all of the following:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Reside in the Cape Metropolitan Area
  • Be aged 17 to 25 years old
  • Demonstrate academic excellence through strong Matric results or tertiary performance
  • Show genuine financial need, verified by income documents
  • Be accepted or registered at a recognized tertiary institution in the Western Cape
