About the South African Society of Crop Production Bursary

The SASCP bursary program offers financial support to deserving South African students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in crop production (agronomy/crop science).

The program awards a total of six bursaries annually, with varying amounts depending on the level of study:

  1. 3 x Undergraduate bursaries: Each valued at R10,000
  2. 2 x MSc Postgraduate bursaries: Each valued at R15,000
  3. 1 x PhD Postgraduate bursary: Valued at R20,000

South African Society of Crop Production Bursary Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the SASCP bursary, ensure you meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. South African Citizenship or Permanent Residency: You must be a South African citizen or hold permanent residency in South Africa.
  2. Matric Completion: You must have successfully completed your Matric (National Senior Certificate).
  3. Relevant Field of Study: You must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree program related to crop production (crop science or agronomy).
  4. Year of Study (Undergraduate): Applicants for undergraduate funding must have completed their first year of study.
  5. University Registration: You must be registered at a recognized South African university.
