Allan Gray Scholarship 2026 – High School Funding for Young Entrepreneurs
The Allan Gray Scholarship for 2026 is now open to Grade 6 learners.
Only a small number of learners will receive this full scholarship.
If you are aged 11–12, have good marks in English and Mathematics, and come from a family that needs financial help, you should apply today. Places fill quickly.
About Allan Gray Orbis Foundation
The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation supports learners with an interest in business and leadership. It aims to train future entrepreneurs in South Africa.
The foundation funds high school education and offers mentoring and development programs.
Who Can Apply
To qualify, a learner must:
- Be in Grade 6 in 2026
- Be aged 11 or 12
- Be a South African citizen
- Have at least 70% in English and Mathematics in Grades 5 and 6
- Demonstrate that your household earns less than R20,000 per month
- Show interest in entrepreneurship or business
Benefits of the Scholarship
All selected learners receive:
- Fees and boarding at a top partner school
- Monthly allowance for school costs
- Uniforms, stationery, textbooks, and toiletries
- Extramural activities funding
- Mentorship from a Foundation Officer
- Workshops and an annual entrepreneurial conference
- Access to an online learning campus and a community of scholars
How to Apply
- Download or collect the 2026 Allan Gray Orbis application form here.
- Complete all sections carefully.
- Gather certified copies of the learner’s Grade 6 report, ID, parent/guardian income proof, and any other required documents.
- Submit by hand or post before the deadline. Email or faxed forms are not accepted.

Required Documents
Applicants must include:
- Completed application form
- Certified Grade 6 school report
- Certified ID copy of learner
- Certified ID of parent/guardian
- Proof of household income (payslips, bank statements, affidavits)
- Proof of guardianship if applicable
- Parent/guardian contact details
Selection Process
- Applications close on 15 September 2025 at 17:00 SAST
- From June to September, the foundation reviews applications.
- Shortlisted learners are invited to an assessment in December 2025.
- Interviews and home visits follow between February and March 2026.
- Final award offers are made in May 2026.
Beyond school, the program builds an entrepreneurial mindset. You attend workshops, conferences, and mentorship.
This support helps you gain confidence, solve problems, and become a future leader.
