Air Products Bursary 2026 – Funding for Engineering, Finance, Science & Management Studies

Air Products South Africa (Pty) Limited is a leading supplier of industrial, specialty, and performance gases in Southern Africa. 

Established in 1969, the company serves industries such as construction, mining, healthcare, agriculture, and energy. 

The bursary aims to empower young South Africans in technical and business fields.

Fields of Study Funded

The bursary supports students registered or accepted for a National Diploma or undergraduate degree in the following fields:

  • Engineering (BEng or BSc)
  • Finance (BCom)
  • Management Sciences
  • Natural Sciences
  • Operations or Production Management
    These fields align with Air Products’ operational needs across multiple sectors.

Benefits for Recipients

Successful applicants may receive support covering:

  • Tuition and registration fees
  • Prescribed textbooks
  • Potential assistance with accommodation and living expenses
    Payments are coordinated through the university’s financial aid offices.

Eligibility Criteria 

Applicants must meet ALL of the following:

  • South African citizen
  • Accepted and registered for a full-time National Diploma or undergraduate degree in a qualifying field at a recognized South African university
  • Achieved at least a 65% average in the most recent academic year
  • Household income of no more than R450,000 per annum before deductions
    Failure to meet these criteria will disqualify the application.

How to Apply

  1. There is no official application form.
  2. Submit certified copies of the required documents (listed below) to your university’s Financial Aid Office.
  3. When asked where you heard about bursaries, write “www.bursariesafrica.co.za.”
  4. Submit before the deadline once announced officially. Late applications are not accepted.

Required Documents

You must provide certified copies of:

  • South African ID document
  • Matric certificate or tertiary academic transcripts
  • Proof of current registration (university letterhead)
  • Bill of tuition fees from the university (letterhead)
  • Proof of textbook and residence costs (if applicable)
  • Brief motivational letter
  • Affidavit confirming total combined household income
    Incomplete or uncertified documents may lead to disqualification.

Closing Date

The previous cycle deadline was 31 May 2025. The 2026 closing date is expected to fall in late May 2026, but this is not yet officially confirmed. 

Only applications submitted before the confirmed deadline will be considered.
