Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen
- Registered for a BSc or BEng degree in the listed engineering fields at a recognised South African university
- First-year students: minimum average of 70%
- Second- or third-year students: minimum average of 65%
- Not receiving any other bursary or NSFAS funding
- Displays leadership acumen
How to Apply
- Applications open in July on Bigenβs official bursary portal
- Complete the online form and attach required documents (see below)
Required Documents
Submit the following clearly and certified:
- South African ID or Smart ID card
- Full academic record (including proof of minimum average)
- University registration proof
- PDF-format Curriculum Vitae
- Proof of banking details (bank-stamped or official letter)
- Proof of residential address (municipal account, bank statement, or tribal authority letter)
Closing Date
Applications close on 30 August 2026 for the 2026 bursary cycle. Submit early and complete to be considered.
