Bradshaw LeRoux Bursary for Disabled Students 2026 Requirements & Application Guide

In South Africa, access to education is a fundamental right. 

However, for disabled students, the journey to higher education can be fraught with challenges. 

The Bradshaw LeRoux Bursary aims to address these challenges by providing financial assistance to disabled students pursuing their academic goals.

About the Organisation

Bradshaw LeRoux is South Africa’s specialist in disability recruitment and inclusion. 

Co-owned by a person living with a disability, the organisation leads in inclusion strategies, training, audits, and support across both public and private sectors.

The bursary supports degree studies in disciplines including:

1. Community Development
2. Engineering
3. Environmental Management
4. Finance
5. Geology
6. Human Resources
7. Information Technology
8. Marketing
9. Metallurgy
10. Occupational Health

Benefits for Recipients

• Covers tuition fees and living expenses while students pursue their studies.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following:

1. Be a South African citizen
2. Be living with a disability
3. Be enrolled in or starting a 3- to 4-year degree in one of the eligible fields at a DHET-accredited institution

Required Documents

You must submit clear copies of the following:

• Updated CV (MS Word format)
• Matric certificate
• Full academic record/transcript
• Proof of disability (doctor’s note)

Closing Date

The deadline for the 2026 bursary cycle is 31 December 2026. Applications received after this date will not be accepted.
