Esri South Africa Bursary Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet these criteria:
- Must have completed Matric in 2023 or 2026.
- Must have achieved between 65% – 100% in Mathematics in Matric.
- Must intend to study the Diploma in Geoinformation Science & Technology at the Esri South Africa College, Midrand.
- Must be willing and able to reside in Gauteng (for the duration of studies).
- Must complete the diploma within two years.
- Must have an interest in the GIS field, strong problem‑solving skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Esri South Africa Bursary: What It Covers
- Full cover of course fees, textbooks, and study materials for the duration of the diploma.
- Does not cover accommodation or travel costs; the student is responsible for these.
- Recipients may also gain practical work‑experience opportunities with Esri South Africa (database services, cartography, applications development, etc).
- After completion, graduates may be offered employment at Esri South Africa and can register as GISc Technicians with the South African Geomatics Council.
Esri South Africa Bursary Application Process
- Visit Esri South Africa’s official bursary portal to access the application form.
- Complete the online application, providing personal details, academic record (Matric certificate or NSC), and proof of mathematics mark.
- Upload or submit required documentation: certified ID copy; Matric certificate; proof of residence or willingness to reside in Gauteng.
- Submit the application form before the closing date. Late or incomplete applications may not be accepted.
- If shortlisted, you may be required to attend further assessment or an interview, and you will wait for notification of the outcome.
