  4. You must meet specific minimum academic thresholds in your final Matric results or latest academic record:
    • English: Minimum Rating Code 5 (or 60%)
    • Mathematics (not Maths Literacy): Minimum Rating Code 5 (or 60%)
    • Physical Science: Minimum Rating Code 5 (or 60%)
  5. You must be studying or intending to study towards a qualification within one of the approved fields of study.
  6. You must be registered or provisionally accepted to study at a recognised South African university.

  8. Successful applicants are required to complete structured vacation work at an Implats operation every academic year.
  9. Bursary recipients must agree to enter into a work-back agreement with Implats upon graduation.
