A Legacy of Support
Since 1999, the South African Veterinary Foundation has supported deserving students, with over R250 000 awarded in bursaries to date. These contributions have come from generous sponsors including Lakato (Pty) Ltd, the Professional Provident Society, Mercantile Bank and private donors such as the Seria family.
The bursary programme not only eases financial pressure but also recognises students who embody academic dedication and community involvement. Past recipients are encouraged to give back and support the next generation through the Foundation’s Pet Memorial Fund.
Support the Bursary Fund
The South African Veterinary Foundation welcomes donations from individuals, veterinary practices, companies, and professional groups. These contributions help ensure that more students can pursue their dream of becoming veterinarians, regardless of their financial background.
All donations to the bursary fund are tax-deductible and eligible for an 18A tax certificate. Donors can request public acknowledgement on the Foundation’s website.
Note: Applications close at midnight on Monday, 2 June 2025. Do not wait until the last minute to apply.
