SAVF Bursary 2026, Requirements and How to Apply
Are you a 4th or 5th year BVSc student at the University of Pretoria in need of financial help? The South African Veterinary Foundation Bursary 2026 offers funding of up to R12 000 to deserving students. Applications open in March 2026 and close on 2 June 2026.

SAVF Bursary 2026 Details
- Field of study: BVSc (Veterinary Science)
- Institution: University of Pretoria (Faculty of Veterinary Science)
- Funding value: Up to R12 000 per student
- Number of awards: 4 bursaries (2 for 4th years, 2 for 5th years)
- No repayment or work-back obligation
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be studying for a BVSc degree at the University of Pretoria
- Must be in 4th or 5th year in 2026
- Must show financial need
- Must have at least a 60% academic average
- Must be active in student activities (sports, culture, etc.)

How to Apply

- Fill in your details and complete 10 questions about the SAVF
- Enter “bursariesafrica.co.za” when asked how you heard about the bursary
Submit the following documents:
- Short CV
- Full academic record for 2024 (PDF)
- Breakdown of current student debt
Note: Files must be under 25MB each.

Winners will be contacted by 28 February 2026. If you do not hear back, consider your application unsuccessful.
