Gold Fields Ltd Bursary Eligibility Requirements
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must be applying for or already enrolled full-time in a recognised South African tertiary institution (university or institute of technology).
- The bursary is available for specific fields of study: Mining Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Metallurgical Engineering; Geology (Honours); Electrical Engineering (heavy & light current); Chemical Engineering; Environmental Management; Finance; Mine Surveying; Rock Engineering.
- Age limit: if you are entering your first year, you usually must be under 21; if in your second year, the limit is typically under 23.
- If applying from a technical institution (technikon), you may be required to provide a medical certificate of fitness.
- You must have been accepted into the tertiary institution for your course of study.
- Financial need is often assessed: you need to show that you require financial aid.
- After graduation, you are required to work for Gold Fields for a period equal to the bursary duration.

You need certified copies of: your South African ID, Grade 11 final results, your Grade 12 progress or matric results, and your Matric certificate (if completed). - Medical fitness
